Carpinus betulus 'Rockhampton Red'

£79.99
Description: Carpinus betulus 'Rockhampton Red' has the same growth rate and habit as Carpinus betulus. In the autumn the leaves transform into a spectacular display of bright reds and intense fiery oranges, these colours normally persist until mid-late November when the leaves turn brown. A high proportion of the brown leaves remain on the tree until the following spring. Geoff Locke discovered this unique cultivar of the native Carpinus betulus at the nursery in Rockhampton.
