Malus 'Pink Glow'

£69.99
Description: One of the best early season fruiting crab apples for making jelly and an excellent ornamental. A round-headed tree with strong single white flowers followed by bright pink fruit that look like plums. Although early to fall in mid September it is a very good alternative to John Downie as it is more disease resistant.

History: Grown from seed of M. xrobusta collected in 1897 at the Imperial Botanical Gardens, St Petersburg, Russia.

Malus Growing Tips: Crab Apples are self-fertile, and very useful as pollinators for a variety of fruit trees. Full sun or part shade lover, best grown in fertile, moist, deep, loamy soils. Requires minimal pruning in late winter or spring to remove damaged, diseased or misplaced growth.

Height and Spread (after 10 years): 4m x 3m
