Autumn time is planting time !

Autumn is traditionally the best time for planting almost everything.

As the days get shorter, plant growth above ground begins to slow down and become less vigorous, however underground in the root zone it’s a whole different matter, it’s very busy down there in the dirt !

At this time of year the ground is still warm and quite moist, these are ideal conditions for great root growth and good roots are the key to healthy growth and a better performance in following years.

It’s a beautiful day for having a wander round the garden with a cup of tea, making plans for next year, considering new additions or a complete new border and now is the time for action !
