Bontnewydd and Customer Service Advisor here at Fron Goch.

The awards ceremony will be held on September 13th 2019 in Ystradgynlais, Swansea where Bontnewydd will be judged alongside other finalists. All hopes are pinned on bringing home either a Gold, Silver or Bronze prize.

The ‘Wales in Bloom’ competition has :

• Brought the community together, enjoying talking about flowers and the village in general

• Lifted the spirits of the village and the spirits of people passing through, including those commuting in cars.

• Brought laughter and competition into the village

• Brought the local community and schools together in helping with the gardening and encouraging awareness of important topics such as the environment and mindfulness.

• Helped create awareness to the environment, emphasized the importance of recycling, the community has arranged and partaken in litter picking and keeping the village clean.

• Attained recognition for Bontnewydd as an important village outside Caernarfon and a village in its own right within the local area.
